Involvement in crime
Cornelius Foran was allegedly involved in the armed hold up and robbery of 12 travellers on 31 January 1867 in Bathurst. The four robbers ambushed the travellers on the Carcoar Road about 25 miles from Bathurst. They stole money, firearms and two horses. They then went to a public house and stole 30 ounces of gold from the proprietor.1 He was was arrested for the Carcoar Road robbery on 6 February 1867.1 He was released on bail on 27 February 1867.1
Death
Cornelius Foran died in 1908 at age ~66.1
