Residence information

In November 1828 resided with parent (James Grime, The Younger, carpenter) in Liverpool, New South Wales, Australian Colonies. The census records indicate that James Grime's carpentry skills were probably employed on the Liverpool convict barracks.4 James Grime lived in Charleville, Queensland, Australian Colonies, in 1863, having moved from NSW.3

Working life

  • Circa 1862 James Grime was a superintendent at Gnomery Station in Goodooga.5

Death

James Grime died from heart disease on 13 January 1866 at age 39 at Cooper's Hotel in Charleville. The death certificate records that he had never married.3 He was buried on 14 January 1866 at Charleville Cemetery in Charleville.3
