Birth

Son ("William") Fleming was born circa 1830. He is known only from his burial record. Since his brother Angus named his third son William, the Scottish Naming Convention would suggest that he had a brother called William. Since their father's name was Angus and his father's name was James, it is likely than William was named for his mother's father (possible William Lawson who married Jean Alexander in 1794). This would suggest that William was the second son and thus older than his brother Angus (who was born in 1831 and named for his own father).1
