Residence information

Eliza Emily Reed witnessed the travel of Andres ("Andrew") Bufe . The ship had sailed from Hong Kong with 97 Chinese passengers plus the captain's wife and two daughters.9 Henry Johnson and she lived at Culgoa Street in North Bourke, New South Wales, Australian Colonies, on 5 April 1891. The household consisted of 4 males and three females.10

Property

Eliza Emily Reed was a witness when Private James Reed, 80th Regiment of Foot, a sold 2 x 40 acres of land to the Johnson brothers on 4 August 1887 at Mount Oxley in Bourke, New South Wales, Australia. The purchasers were James Henry Johnson (portion 9) and Alexander George Oxley Johnson (portion 8) who each paid 50 pounds.11,12

Death

Eliza Emily Reed died from bronchopneumonia and chronic bronchitis on 22 August 1925 at age 83 at Mooculta Street in Bourke. She was survived by 6 sons, 2 daughters, 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Two daughters had pre-deceased her.13,3,14,4
