Joseph Aloysius ("Joe") Kessey and Ida Veronica Cooper were married on 30 October 1923 in Wellington.4,5 He and Dorothy Veronica Bent were married in 1938 in Junee.4 He and Ida Veronica Cooper were divorced in February 1938. The grounds for divorce were "desertion".5
