Ernest Edward Gardiner was born on 8 April 1883 at Yowah Station in Eulo. Yowah Station is about 270 mile NW of Barringun. The baptism record gives his birthplace as Millievale Station.1,2,3 He was baptized in November 1883 at St Stephen's Church of England at Bourke in Bourke, New South Wales, Australian Colonies.3
