Frances Whye

b. 1886, d. 1956

Birth

Frances Whye was born in 1886 in Brewarrina. There is no evidence that Frances was a daughter of Alfred Whye. Her gravestone indicates that she was 70 years old at her death in 1956, implying a birth year of 1886. By then, Alfred Whye had been away from Brewarrina for two years, so he could not be her father. Furthermore, she was not baptised with his three sons in 1886, possibly because she had not yet been born. All of this indicates that Alfred Whye was not her father. She may have been a twin of Jessie Whye who was also supposedly born in 1886.1
