Albert Joseph Whye

Birth

Albert Joseph Whye was born in 1884 in Brewarrina. His 1954 death certificate estimates his age as 82, but this conflicts with his baptism record that says that he was born in 1884 (not 1872).1,2 He was baptized on 5 July 1886 at St Stephen's Church of England at Bourke in Bourke, New South Wales, Australian Colonies. Siblings Frederick William Whye (aged 7), Alfred Whye (4) and Albert Joseph Whye (2) were all baptised in a single ceremony on 5 July 1886.2
