Her burial details indicate that she was 22 years old at her death in 1908, implying a birth year of 1886. By then, Alfred Whye had been away from Brewarrina for two years, so he could not be her father. Furthermore, she was not baptised with his three sons in 1886, possibly because she had not yet been born. All of this indicates that Alfred Whye was not her father. She may have been a twin of Frances Whye who was also supposedly born in 1886.
