Death

William Entwistle died on 9 April 1719 at age 48 at Quarlton in Edgworth.4 He was buried on 10 April 1719 at St Peter's Church in Bolton. His burial record indicates that he was buried "in templo", meaning inside the church. This was a very rare privilege reserved for highly respected citizens.4,2
