Sarah Martin was born circa 1745.

Family life

William Reed and Sarah Martin were married on 26 December 1764 in Stoke on Trent. It is likely that our Thomas Reed was baptised on 30 August 1765 at the church of St Mary and All saints at Whitmore. If so, his parents were William Reed and Sarah Martin who had been married at Stoke on Trent on 26 December 1764. They had three other children (Ann 1767; William 1771-1772; and William 1773).1,2

Death

Sarah Martin died on 16 August 1802 at age ~57 at St Mary and All Saints church in Whitmore.3 She was buried on 17 August 1802 at St Mary and All Saints church in Whitmore. William Read was buried at Chapel Chorlton on 8 January 1786. His wife may be the Sarah Reed who was buried in the church of St Mary and All Saints at Whitmore on 17 August 1802.3,2
